Connect

Welcome!  Here at New River we place the highest value on connection - vertical and horizontal.  The connection that matters most is our connection with God!  It allows us to see ourselves and relate to others with His heart.  We believe that only a life-transforming love relationship with God will give us the ability to truly love our neighbor the way Jesus calls us to.  Simply put, we value loving God and loving people!

How to CONNECT at New River:

We could tell you all kinds of stuff about ourselves but nothing really takes the place of experiencing New River for yourself!  We invite you to worship with us on Sunday morning ** at 10:30AM.  Stop by our cafe’ for a free cup of coffee.  Meet some new friends.  Experience passionate worship and hear a relevant message that will feed your soul.   Come as you are.  Ripped jeans and converse or suit and fancy shoes.  We don’t care.

If you’re new to New River and want to know a little more about us in a personal way then we have something called Lunch For The New Bunch (L4NB)!  This is a relaxed gathering at the home of Pastor Steve & Milissa Garrett.  All you have to do is RSVP and show up ready to have fun!  Space is limited each month so be sure to sign up at the Welcome Center before or after the service on Sunday or email Kaley Kelsey, our event coordinator at kaley@newriverfellowship.com with questions!  We also have a fantastic church-wide fellowship event called Breaking Bread every few months which is a great opportunity to get to know more of your New River family by enjoying (or hosting) a meal in the warmth of a home.

There are all kinds of exciting small groups, discipleship classes, special events, and ministries  (like children’s ministry (Kids in the Current), men’s ministry, women’s ministry, Activate youth ministry, 20/30somethings, worship tribe, etc) for you to jump into!  Some are ongoing, and some are seasonal.  When you visit us, stop by the Welcome Center and feel free to talk to someone about a good fit for you!

How could we not love, serve, and reach out once we’ve connected with God’s life and community, and we’re growing spiritually?  Jesus calls us to freely give as we have received!  Contact a ministry leader or Pastor Steve if you’re interested in doing “in-reach” by serving in one of our in-house ministries, or you may consider doing outreach, evangelism, or service projects with some of our groups.  We also send short-term missions teams to Haiti throughout the year.  Lastly, your prayers and financial support also serve in the furtherance of the Gospel here and abroad!
